The Perry Saga

I haven’t said much about the current story line – mostly because I wanted people to be surprised when we took a turn from “Joke Goblin filler” towards “Perry shooting people and being chased by killer robots”. Now that we’ve gotten a ways into crazy-town, I can confirm that we’re in the middle of a pretty pivotal chapter that (I hope) will tie up a lot of loose ends.

If you haven’t been through the archives recently, here are some bits you might want to revisit in order to squeeze all the juices from Perry & co.’s current adventure:

• Game Genie – in the second Badnix story ever (!!), we got some vauge hints that Perry was involved in thievery and had engendered some bad blood with a police chief named McCloud.
• Badnix: the Gathering – early appearance of the Bug Mob. Their Don is evidently upset with Perry?
• Pumpkins & Police Tapes – some history and insight on the Bug Mob. Also raised the question of how exactly Perry is mixed up with them.
• We’ve also seen plenty of evidence that Perry is wary of robots in general and Ted specifically. Which should make a bit more sense now.

(Incidentally, the penguin cop who is currently holding Rog captive? He’s been around since that second story, too. And he does have a canonical name, if you can spot it! But I am strongly reconsidering retconning it so that I can call him “Lt. Popper” or “Officer Birdpun” or something appropriately Badnixesque. I dunno.
