Yes, today’s page is the end of How To Play. Yes, that is the note we’re going out on. I know this story was pretty different, but I’m really proud of it and I think it was important. It’s important to me, at least, to keep a bead on the humanity of my dumb monster characters amidst all the fantasy adventuring and terrible puns.

Speaking of fantasy adventuring and terrible puns – you can look forward to both in the next story! Which starts next week!

Some assorted vaguely Halloween-related news…

I did some art for volume 2 of the Songs from Mt. Ebott Undertale fan album project, which should be releasing later tonight! If you’re a fan of Undertale, or my art, or some combination of the two, that is a thing that’s worth checking out.

Pachinko Man, my point-and-click adventure game, just turned 2 years old! Perfect time to go and play it if you haven’t already. Gotta brush up in time for the release of Pachinko Man 2: Secret of the Ooze!

Also, I made a playlist of Halloween-type chiptunes over on my ridiculous Soundcloud account! Throw out your “Spooky Sounds Vol. 3” cassette tape, folks, THESE are the fresh jams trick-or-treaters can’t get enough of.

Anyway, happy Halloween! I’d give you all a fun-sized Milky Way bar and a pack of Sixlets if I could.

Badnix is back… and as you’ve probably noticed, we’ve hopped back in time a bit to Rog’s college days. Will Rog make it through school and become a successful enemy monster? The answer… probably won’t surprise you. But this story might!

My hope is that every new arc works as a clean jumping-on point for new readers, and World 4 is no different. This story is, among other things, a reintroduction to Rog and the Badniverse (yes that is the correct term) at large. So if you’ve ever wanted to show somebody Badnix, but didn’t want to explain ~5 years of convoluted webcomic backstory to them, now may be a good time!

In general I think the comics are going to be lighter on plot and heavier on humor & character stuff going forward – but if you’re a longtime reader haunted by the forest of dangling plot threads from World 3, don’t worry! We will get there… together. Eventually. (Probably.)
