New Archive Page!

Because YOU THE FANS demanded it (not really) I decided to update the Archives page. In addition to being much prettier and easier to scroll through, the archive now allows you to view all the pages in a given story! This should make it a lot easier to track down individual comics.

…provided that you remember the dumb pun I used to title it, or the exact date when it was released. USER FRIENDLY!

The Bug Mob!

I heard there was some confusion about what Perry and Arika are up to in the current storyline. That’s okay! Arika is confused, too. The purpose of Perry’s voyage to the bottom of the sea and how it relates to their search for a Chaos Star remains to be seen. (And will be seen very shortly!)

dabugs

If you can’t remember what exactly the Bug Mob was supposed to be, that’s okay too – they have existed in the comic for a while, but pretty much everything you need to know will be recapped (if it hasn’t been already in today’s comic).

In case you want some extra context, though… The Bug Mob was a crime family that used to terrorize the Badnixverse using strange, reality-glitching minions called Bugs. Perry’s parents belonged to the organization, and wound up getting whacked. Perry later joined the Bug Mob himself, with the express purpose of stealing their stuff and destroying them from the inside.

We last saw the Bug Mob in The Undercloud. The only members left were robots who had been hardwired to remain loyal to the group – and even they seemed to get wiped out by the end of the story. Poor Tin Man seems to be the only one who never got the memo.

Note that we still know very little about the Bugs themselves or where they came from. We also still don’t know anything about the Chaos Stars, apart from how much everyone wants to get their mits on them. Enigmas worth keeping in mind, I expect. (Hint hint, spoil spoil)

New Cast Page!!

The comic’s cast page has been totally rehauled & massively expanded! Give it the ol’ looksee the next time you’re struggling to remember who ‘Lord Kimogo’ is, or whether or not the tomato man is friends with the sarcastic blue guy.

Now look, I liked the old cast page a lot. But upkeep on it was kind of tough! And really, I figure most people click over to a ‘cast’ page because they want to quickly find out who a character is, not to sift through paragraphs of jokes and backstory. So, that’s what the new cast page is geared towards.

By the way, don’t go snooping in the cast page trying to figure out who’s going to be important in future comics! Maybe I threw some curveballs in there to throw you off the scent. Maybe Dinofrog and Gil the Fish still have a shot at becoming pivotal characters. Who can say!

Mystery Button!

I’m back! Over the past month, in addition to working on some new comics (!!!), I also took some time to work on a couple of new features for the site. First up – the brand new MYSTERY BUTTON. See it floating there underneath every comic, pregnant with portents of the unknown? What could it possibly signify? Dare you click it and find out…?

Okay, it’s just a button that display’s the comic’s alt text, for use on touchscreen-type devices. I’ve had some requests (read: exactly one request) for this and I thought it was worth doing. Now you can enjoy extra jokes and inane commentary about each comic, on the go~

Anyway. More stuff in this vein will be coming very very soon!
