Boltcrusher has always been Perry’s last name! It used to be on the Cast page, but failing that I am 99% sure it’s been mentioned on-panel before, somewhere in the murky expanses of the archives.
Damn you for making me trudge through the archaic nature of the archives… (aw, they were cute and stubby back in the day) but yeah, 185. Front page news. And later when he meets his old crush. (I always thought it was just “Perry.” Or “Mr. Perry to you.”)
Just curious if Boltcrusher was indicative of anything or if it’s just superlative (like “Bender Bending Rodríguez”). Or how many of the other cast members will suddenly spout surnames to protect themselves (like the house of Kato) — I mean, do Slurri and TED even have other aliases? (Or Kevin ‘n Kell for that matter.)
I think “Boltcrusher” is indicative of the kinds of people Perry’s ancestors were. As for Ted and Sluri – robuts are lucky to get any name that’s not a serial number, and Sluri is a special case that we’ll be learning about next storyline.
Is the Don’s first name Xavier? (Also, “Boltcrusher?”)
Dammit, where’s Magnus the Robot Fighter when you need him?
