Enemy Atlas #1: Wood World

MEET YOUR BOSSES!

MR. DOUGLAS FIR is the presiding Boss of Wood World. This large, face-having tree was born in a local copse some 250 years ago. He only graduated to command about 15 years ago, which might say something about his ambition. Still, his is a solid, experienced voice in the Adversarial Community, despite belonging to a world-weary grump. Mr. Fir must be pushed between places by the enemies in his world, and his SIGNATURE ATTACK is probably dropping leaves or pine cones or something of this nature. Rumor holds that Doug is actually a personal friend of KING METAFOBLIN, although there is no reason why this would ever be true.

Mr. Fir was preceded in the role by GEPETTO, a large, autonomous puppet. It is said that he emerged fully-formed from a mysterious forest, having carved his own body out of the local flora. He was known to have connections with the BUG MOB, but eventually ran afoul of them, and was subsequently consumed by termites. It is believed that he named Doug as his successor shortly before the ravenous insects choked down his last few splinters.

The sole Mini-Boss of Wood World is an up-and-comer named ROG. Possibly related to THOMAS ROGTHANIEL MATON, the famed war hero who played a decisive role in the ARCADE WARS. Formerly a low-ranking Stage Enemy, he received his current promotion in recognition of acts of valor during the first skirmish with KEVIN. He currently commands the BADNIX, a special unit that travels around the Empire providing some kind of ill-defined assistance. You probably won’t run into him much.

Rog, in turn, was preceded by DINOFROG, a large, dinosaur-like frog who was boring and generally unliked. However, he did have a fairly cool SIGNATURE ATTACK involving electric tadpoles. KIA during the first skirmish with KEVIN, which I’m sure everyone was very broken up about.
